Great, Generous Gesture of Porsche România - „Meals on Wheels” Keeps on Rolling!
Another cause for rejoicing around Christmas! Porsche România decided to go on to commit themselves socially, continuing to assist our program “Meals on Wheels”.
The Volunteers of the Sf. Gheorghe Branch Gave a Helping Hand to the Santa, Distributing 120 Gift Packages!
Santa Clause and the Maltese volunteers distributed 120 gift packages in a hospital, schools and kindergartens.
Santa Clause in Aiud
„Look, here comes Santa Clause!”- exclaimed in delight hundreds of children, being visited by the Santa Clause from MHD Hasselroth, Germany. The MHD Hasselroth and SAMR Aiud have been working together on common projects for the last 17 years despite of the 1,400 km distance between the two organizations.
The Malteser Special Kindergarten from Cluj-Napoca will be supported for a whole year by United Way Romania (December 2011 - November 2012)!
The decision was taken by the Allocation Committee of United Way Romania, which met last week in Cluj-Napoca to review the projects submitted by the NGOs and to take a final decision regarding the funding for the year 2011-2012.

The 20 years anniversary of the Order of Malta Relief Organisation in Romania
On Saturday the 15th of October the continuation of the legendary tradition of almost 1000 years of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in the service of humanity has been celebrated in Cluj-Napoca.
Safe cycling marathon!
Sunday, 500 professional and amateur cyclists from the country and from abroad attended the Maros Bike Marathon on the forest roads of the Gilau Mountains. The Order of Malta Relief Organisation was also present at the event to provide first aid if needed. Thus, the cyclists were riding safer!!!

20 years of charity, celebrated in Timisoara!
The Timisoara branch of the Order of Malta Relief Organisation in Romania held the fourth edition of the Charity Ball "Maria" on Saturday, the 10th of September 2011.

Between the 8th and 15th of August the Order Of Malta Relief Organisation in Romania has organized the ninth edition of the Camp for Youth with Disabilities in Valcele, Covasna County.
One year after the devastating floods in Moldova, the Maltese Relief Service in Romania continues to support the flood victims
The victims of the floods from last year in Dorohoi, Botosani district, are continuously supported by The Order of Malta Relief Organisation in Romania. On Tuesday, the 26th of July, 60 families received devices and household items from the SAMR to equip their new or renovated homes: refrigerators, cookers, vacuum cleaners, dishes, energy saving light bulbs and sinks were provided in a value of 10,000 €.
11 people from Romania are participating in the International Summer Camp of the Order of Malta for the youth with disabilities
Between the 23rd and 30th of July 6 young people with disabilities together with their companions - in total 11 people from Romania - will attend the International Summer Camp of the Order of Malta for young people with disabilities in the town of Lignano Sabbiadoro in Italy.

The Order of Malta Relief Organisation in Romania saves lives
On the 26th of July a unique resuscitation training will be held at the Dynamo Stadium: Thousands of volunteers will be trying to learn the basic techniques of resuscitation, and to break a world record at the same time!
The Grand Master of the Order of Malta visiting Romania
In the period between June 7. and 11. the Sovereign of the Order of Malta, the Prince and Grand Master, Fra 'Matthew Festing, visited Romania. His Highness and his delegation met with the Romanian state officials, the members of the Romanian Association of the Order of Malta, visited some of the humanitarian projects of the Romanian Maltese Relief Organization and participated in the pilgrimage from Şumuleu Ciuc.
Habitat builds, SAMR equips
The inauguration of the 30 houses built by Habitat for Humanity in Dorohoi, Moldova, and partially equipped by SAMR took place on the 31st of May 2011.
The seminar brought 80 smiles and over 6000 lei
Through the almost free seminar, held on 22 April in Cluj-Napoca, packages and money in the value of 6045 lei were gathered for 80 elderly.
20. to 22 April - The chor of innocents has been moved to the Iulius Mall
"The chorus of the innocents" has finished its concert on the street Eroilor and occurred between April 20-22 in the Iulius Mall, Cluj-Napoca. About 4000 € were collected for the sick children of the Maltese special kindergarten.

The 2nd edition of an unusual action. At Santa Claus, the amateur shoe shiners from Cluj-Napoca united in order to fill the little boots of children with severe disabilities attending the Special Maltese Kindergarten in Cluj-Napoca.

On the 6th of August the employees of TSE Development Romania organized a charity-picnic in order to help the beneficiaries of our program „Meals on Wheels”. The funds that were raised will assure a daily warm meal for 20 elderly, for a month.
International Art Symposium “Almási Béla” – anniversary year
The 10th International Art Symposium “Almási Béla” took place from the 5th through the 20th of August 2010 in Dorobanti. Similarly to the previous years, the creations of the 18 artists present were donated to the local Home for physically disabled adults, belonging to the Romanian Maltese Relief Service.

A special charity action took place on the 6th December in Cluj Napoca: two diligent shoeshine boys made the shoes of the passers-by shine, and donated the money that they collected to the Special Maltese Kindergarten.
