`Sf. Ioan` home for the elderly in Timişoara has been running since 1992 and is taking care of 20 elderly who have no family and have low incomes. The elderly benefit of free accommodation, three meals a day, medical care, medical control and different therapies. A staff consisting of 25 people out of them 16 volunteers dedicates their days to the care of the elderly, being there day by day. Thus the elderly receive not only adequate social and medical care, but also emotional support and company.
