Our principle: Defense of the Faith and assistance to the poor and the suffering
Who are we and where do we come from?
The Romanian Maltese Relief Service was established 1991 with the help of the Sovereign Order of Malta and the Maltese Relief Service Germany under the more than 900 years old main creed of the Order: Tuitio fidei et obsequium pauperum – defence of the faith and assistance to the poor and suffering. Guided by the principle of a honorific engagement towards serving our fellow-men, the SAMR has developed in the 19 years since its establishment a strong and viable network of social services, first in mostly catholic regions, later throughout the whole country.
Our strength and competence lie in:
- running activities throughout the whole country;
- constantly improving the quality of our projects and increasing their number
- being integrated in the European/International Maltese community
- maintaining a solid and lasting strategic partnerships with governmental institutions and ministries
- the fact, that our services are state-approved and generally accepted
- the team-spirit of our voluntaries supported by Christian ideals
- the fact, that we provide our services in our own private property
- the wide experience gained through our 19 years’ existence throughout that we kept constantly developing our services
- the credibility we gained through an efficient and transparent way of using means
